the luck of the Irish

Meaning: People who are Irish are said to be lucky.  If you have good luck you call it the luck of the Irish.
How to use in a sentence: Patrick was always lucky.  He won lotteries, had a great job and a great girlfriend.  When his friend asked him about this, he replied, "I just have the luck of the Irish."
