Black Out (TV)(see Blackout war)

Meaning: A television show is not shown in a local area so that people will have to go to the event rather than watching it on TV.  Sometimes governments will issue a news blackout when they don't want information of something to be known.  This is rare in democratic countries. 
How to use in a sentence: The station blacked out the final play off of the match.  Everyone was really mad.
