Something is Up

Meaning: you are suspicious that there is something happening that you should know about, but you don't know what it is.  If someone tells you then .....See Cat's out of the bag or jig is up.
How to use in a sentence: When the teacher walked into the classroom all the children were giggling and looking like they had played a trick on the teacher.  The teacher said is something up.  Johnny looked at the teachers chair and the teacher realized that they had put water on his chair so that he would get a wet bottom when he sat down.  So he thought something was up and then the jig was up because little Johnny had let the cat out of the bag!
